Impressionist Sunset Lake

Join us for a peaceful and atmospheric guided oil painting session inspired by the glowing colour and expressive brushwork of impressionist landscapes.

In this workshop, we’ll create a tranquil sunset lake scene filled with shimmering reflections, warm evening light and richly textured palette knife work. Using loose, layered techniques rather than fine detail, you’ll learn how to build movement and atmosphere through colour, texture and expressive marks.

This session is perfect for beginners as well as those wanting to loosen up their painting style and explore a more impressionistic approach to oils. We’ll cover blending skies, creating reflections on water, palette knife techniques and using bold colour contrasts to capture light and mood.

Expect a relaxed, cosy evening of painting with step by step guidance in a small supportive group.

All materials are included and you’ll leave with your own finished oil painting to take home.
