Guided Oils: Water Lilies

Inspired by the dreamy reflections and soft colour of Monet’s iconic paintings, this Guided Oils workshop is all about light, atmosphere and learning to loosen up with oils.

Together, we’ll create a beautiful water lilies scene using expressive brushwork and palette knife techniques to build texture, movement and glowing reflections across the water. This session focuses less on perfect detail and more on colour, layering and enjoying the process of painting in a relaxed, impressionist style.

You’ll be guided step by step through:

• Blending soft skies and water tones
• Creating reflections and ripples
• Building lily pads and flowers with texture
• Using palette knives for expressive marks
• Working wet into wet with oils

Perfect for beginners as well as anyone wanting to explore a looser, more painterly style.

All materials are provided and you’ll leave with your own finished oil painting to take home.

Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting a little paint on. Oils can take time to fully dry, so your painting will need to be transported home carefully.
