Guided Oils - Impressionist Forest Walk

Step into a peaceful woodland bathed in golden light and learn how to capture atmosphere, colour and texture using oil paints.

In this relaxed, beginner friendly workshop, we’ll create an impressionist inspired woodland scene featuring a winding path disappearing into dappled sunlight. Using simple shapes, loose brushwork and palette knife techniques, you’ll learn how to suggest trees, foliage and light without getting caught up in fine detail.

We’ll explore how impressionist artists used colour and texture to create a sense of place, building our paintings layer by layer with rich, expressive marks. This is a wonderfully forgiving style that encourages creativity and helps you loosen up your painting approach.

Perfect for complete beginners as well as those looking to gain confidence with oils, this session focuses on enjoying the process rather than striving for perfection.
