Crochet for Absolute Beginners Part 1

Always wanted to learn to crochet but not sure where to start? This relaxed and friendly workshop is designed for complete beginners who have never picked up a hook before.

This special session will be led by a guest host, as Natalie will be stepping aside for this one (her crochet skills are definitely not quite workshop level yet!). You’ll be in very capable hands with someone who can guide you clearly through the fundamentals.

During the workshop you will learn the absolute basics of crochet in a calm, step by step environment. We will cover how to hold the hook and yarn comfortably, how to create a slip knot, and how to make a foundation chain. You will then begin learning your first stitches while practicing rhythm, tension, and control.

By the end of the session you will have the confidence to continue practicing at home and will have started your very first crochet piece.

This class is all about taking things slowly, asking questions, and enjoying the process of learning a new skill.

All materials are provided, and you will leave with your crochet hook, yarn, and practice piece so you can keep going at home.
